VideoNo 2 -- Bathe in the River--Hollie SmithOct 27, '07 4:56 AM
for everyone
Hollie Smith was named best female solo artist and best breakthrough artist of the year and won the award for best Aotearoa roots album for her debut album 'Long Player' at the NZ Music Awards on the 19th October 2007.

Smith's first international release via Manhattan/Blue Note will be next year but it won't necessarily be the NZ only Long Player album. Still, she hopes her homegrown effort will show she's not just the girl from Bathe in the River. "I've got no want to be famous or anything like that, she says. I'm just doing my music. Now, I've got freedom to do whatever I want with my music, wherever I want to, whenever I want to, and that's really important."

The Song (featured in the movie No.2):

No.2 is a story about what it takes to bring a family together. The soundtrack has been compiled by Don McGlashan and features the soulful and urban sounds of Tha Feelstyle, Che Fu, Trinity Roots and more.

The film won the World Cinema Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival. It is the first Australasian film in 4 years to be accepted and is widely hailed as the new Whale Rider.

The lead single from the soundtrack is written by Don McGlashan and performed by an allstar cast including the vocal talents of Hollie Smith.

The outstanding video directed by Toa Fraser features the cast of the movie.
